Who are we?

Helijalder Capristano Flores
Co-artistic director
Multidisciplinary artist of Peruvian origin, he has accumulated more than 15 years of experience in artistic creation. He trained in men's artistic gymnastics with the Peruvian Gymnastics Federation and began his artistic career in a street theater troupe, handling giant puppets. There he acquired a solid training in physical theater for unconventional spaces and in the handling of stilts. Attracted by a visual theater using as little speech as possible, he continues his research as an actor training rigorously with Ricardo Santa Cruz according to a training combining concepts of Eugenio Barba, Grotozsky and oriental theater.
At the same time, he developed an interest in both puppets and shadow theater. He became co-founder of the El Cantar del Carabo troupe with which he created 3 professional shadow theater shows. In 2007, he continued his research in puppet and shadow theater in Buenos Aires. Then, in 2010, he founded a scenography company, Caballo Blanco, which led him to collaborate with many production houses and professional theaters.
As a street artist, he created several characters that he had the opportunity to present in various South American and Quebec contexts and festivals. Established in Montreal since 2014, he is looking for different Canadian and international artistic experiences. He continued his training at the Théâtre de la dame de cœur and took part with his characters in several Quebec events.
He loves longboarding, hot sauce and summer ...

Laetitia Bérubé Canniccioni
Co-artistic director
Before getting involved in the world of puppets, she completed studies in architectural technology, which allowed her to acquire knowledge in design, creation, use of spaces, lighting, technical drawing and project management. She also worked for several years as a coordinator for large international industrial companies, which gives her a special background.
Since 2017, she trains regularly on stilts, follows training in puppet manipulation and cultural entrepreneurship. In 2018, she co-founded Imagicario with Helijalder, in order to carry out puppet projects that go beyond the frame. In just one year, she led imagicario to perform more than 90 performances in around twenty recognized events in 4 different countries on 3 continents. It is by showing determination and leadership that she coordinates the creation and distribution projects of the young company (budgets, timetables, communications, logistics).
In addition to being active at the administrative level, she contributes at the creative side, taking part in all stages of creation: from concept to realization (general design, technical drawing, manufacture, staging).
Both a creator, stilt walker and cultural entrepreneur, she aspires to develop skills in puppet theater, particularly in interpretation, direction and production of shows.
She loves tacos, mini objects and her dog ...
