A paso de Alebrije

Inhabited puppet on stilts

Character inspired by Mexican folk arts alebrije (colorful sculptures evoking mythical characters). A paso de Alebrije was a giant and grandiose creature, it allowed herself to be approached by humans as it traveled through our world.

This giant puppet was presented at the Festival marionnettes plein la rue in 2015 and at the Festival des arts de la marionnette in Saguenay in 2017.
